| Jhansi Fort |

The famous Jhansi fort is the fort that was established during the rule of Bundelkhand rulers. Legendary queen Rani Laxmi Bai has also sat on the throne of the fort. This fort was established on a summit, deliberately situated to counterpunch the rival attacks. Jhansi fort will easily attract and mesmerize the visitors with its massive size and location. This fort holds 10 gates to step inside and some of them are Datia Darwaza, Khanderao Gate, Unnao Gate, Chand gate, and many more. Maharaja Gangadhar was the ruler of Jhansi and he was the spouse of Rani Laxmi Bai. After the demise of the king Gangadhar, this primeval monument was constructed in the year 1853 by his better half Rani Laxmi Bai. The Samadhi of the king Gangadhar Rao is located on the Laxmi Tal. This monument stands a sign of love that the queen had with his husband Gangadhar. The Balaji temple is situated in the vicinity of Unao. Unao is a small town falls under Datia district in Madhya Pradesh. Unao is 17 kilometers away from Datia and around 18 kilometers from Jhansi (famous for Jhanshi ki Rani, LakshmiBai.The deity Balaji is very much famous for curing skin ailments. People from far distant places come and worship the deity. Below the temple, a river is also flowing. There are some wells in the river, at the time of summer, people used to have bathe with the water in the wells. It is said that, if you have bathe in river and offer water to deity Balaji, all your incurable skin ailments will be cured within few days. Sunday is considered as the day of deity Balaji (Sun). All the inhabitants of Unao and the surrounding region has enormous faith in the deity and also have felt the power of it. Each family in unao have at least one member in government jobs. |
